![]() I found that when using a 16gb card, after it reached 8gb it pauses, and you have to restart to use the next 8gb on the sd card. The camera is slightly awkward to handhold because of its small, round shape, but not too bad. Also, if the camera is on a tripod, in order to change the battery you have to remove it off the tripod. This is limiting in certain situations, so I use the dc power in those instances. The battery life is around 60 minutes, and since it is enclosed you cannot use a longer life battery. This unit is pretty straightforward, and has some pro features that I don't use much. Though there is no headphone out, you can purchase a y-splitter and use the audio out cable with a headphone amplifier from boostaroo and monitor it, exactly as if you had a headphone out. There is AGC (Auto Gain Control) that can be turned off so as to adjust the decibels of the mic to the level you want. It has a microphone out which is a great feature to be able to use an external microphone. It doesn't have a hot or cold shoe, but this can be resolved with a c-bracket ($10) to mount it on. It is 1080i but still has a very good video quality. ![]() It has 3 CCD (Charged coupling device) sensors which keeps the jello effect from happening while panning.
